How to book a Self Guided Walking Tour of Tuscany

Once you have decided to walk in Tuscany, call Via Walking to discuss the options that best suit your available time frame and interests. Then follow the steps below:

Step 1 Chose your preferred walk or combination of walks plus your three preferred start dates. Remember you are using public transport and options for travel on Sunday are less and are not possible at all into Radda in Chianti.

Step 2 Complete our web booking form or alternatively, email us your preferences and details as requested in the booking form.

Step 3 We will check hotel availability and reply to you within five working days.

Step 4 You need to confirm your booking within five working days of receiving our reply. Your confirmation will be the receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $300 per person paid to:

Step 5 We will send you the Via Walking Transport Pack to enable you to start organising your travel around the walk.

Step 6 If the walk commences within 90 days, full payment is required within 5 working days of confirmation of the booking.

Step 7 If you have booked earlier than 90 days, we will remind you 5 days before, that the 90 day balance of payment is falling due.

Step 8 Once your full payment has been received, we will send you the Walkers Pack where ever you are in the world.

Notes

  • It is a condition of your booking with Via Walking that travel insurance including travel cancelation is purchased.
  • We recommend walking between April and October. Outside these dates, call to discuss the best options, recognising some restaurants may not be open and the Hilltowns of Tuscany do receive some snow.
  • Quantity discounts for five or more are available. Call to discuss.
  • If you have to cancel for any reason at all, the following cancellation schedule applies. Depending on when we receive your cancellation notice (in writing or email), the following scale of payments apply:
    • More than 90 days before departure - $300 per person
    • 90 to 31 days before departure – 70% of the cost of the tour per person
    • 31 to 0 days before departure – 100% of the cost of the tour per person
  • No refunds are given for unused hotel rooms.
